I'm a researcher and organiser from Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh, working to understand the challenges small and marginal farmers face, and I'm trying to organise rural youth. I'm part of a community-led resource centre situated in one of the villages of Azamgarh that is providing a creative, social and political space for villagers. It is also a place to mentor & guide youth in their education and skill building. Along with this work, I'm doing an independent research work on the ongoing land acquisitions in Uttar Pradesh for infrastructural developments and how it is impacting communities.
Earlier, I was a fellow at the Inlaks Shivdasani Fellowship and did a study on the impacts of land acquisition occurring during Purvanchal Expressway construction on small and marginal farmers. I've also worked with the people-led Right to Food Campaign as National Coordinator and volunteered in various other social movements.
